I'm quite a curious person. Basically, I like to know the far end of a fart. If you're also that sort of person, then today's post should hopefully be for you. I thought I'd compile 50 questions (credit to Hellomoonies) to let my readers know a bit more about me. There's a whole lot of random questions in this post but I'm gonna answer all of them.
So, here goes...
1. Were you named after anyone?
No. My parents were torn between Rebecca, Catherine, and Jennifer but I believe they named me Jennifer because when combined it sounded lovely with the middle name Elizabeth.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Last night. I’m a Cancer (regardless of what 2020 has tried to tell us all about new star signs) and I’m extremely emotional.
3. Do you like your handwriting?
I’d say so. I like how it starts when I’m in the mood to write because it’s all neat, joined up, and easy to read but after a while becomes sloppy and careless. Probably just because I get lazy though!
4. What is your favourite lunch meat?
This is a strange one. I’m not a fan of processed meats because they’re really bad for you. If I had to pick one I’d say ham.
5. Do you have kids?
Not right now. Maybe one day I’ll want them but right now I’m feeling nowhere near broody.
6. If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
I think so. I try my best to be a good person, although I’m human and don’t always get it right, but I think I’d make friends with someone like me.
7. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Yes. I live and breathe sarcasm. It’s second nature to the English anyway.
8. Do you still have your tonsils?
I do. I hope to hang onto them for many years to come.
9. Would you bungee jump?
Absolutely. I’m a huge thrill-seeker and love the feeling of adrenaline. I’d be papping myself in the moments leading to it but I’m up for a challenge.
10. What is your favourite cereal?
I’m 25 so I should probably say something like Special K or Fruit ‘n’ Fibre but no, my favourite cereal is Krave Hazelnut. I hardly ever have it though.
11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Rarely. I’m that person who just slips shoes on and off. Then when it comes to trying to get them on I’m like Michael Jackson at the front door with my heel going at the rate of nothing.
12. Do you think you are strong?
I try my best to be but sometimes my weaknesses fight their way through.
13. What is your favourite ice cream?
Mint choc chip all day every day.
14. What is the first thing you notice about people?
This is a difficult question because I feel like I notice different things about each person I meet. Someone could have bright blue hair so I’d obviously notice that first or another person could be really tall. I’d say their most defining feature if that’s an answer.
15. Red or pink?
16. What is the least favourite thing about yourself?
I overthink. It’s like a full-time job for me, with overtime.
17. Who do you miss the most?
I could never narrow it down to just one person. I miss every person I’ve lost in my family. I miss my grandad because I was robbed of the years I could’ve got to know him more, I miss my gran because we used to knit together and eat crystallised ginger, and I miss my auntie because she was incredibly inspirational.
18. What is the spark feature that has helped you the most?
I’m not sure I fully understand this question. If it means my own spark feature then I’d probably say persistence. Don’t give up on what you want.
19. What colour shoes are you wearing?
I’m not wearing any shoes right now but earlier today I was wearing nude ones.
20. What was the last thing you ate?
An English muffin with marmalade on.
21. What are you listening to right now?
I’m listening to the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again soundtrack. I never get tired of it.
22. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
Something cheerful like yellow or orange.
23. Favourite smells?
A Sunday roast cooking or vanilla.
24. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
25. Mountain hideaway or beach house?
Probably a mountain hideaway. All you need is some peace, a hot tub, and some really good snacks.
26. Favourite sports to watch?
I don’t watch any sports. On occasion I’m forced by my boyfriend to endure the football but I do it because I love him. Relationships are about compromise after all.
27. Hair colour?
A questionable mix of brown and blonde. Nobody knows, not even me.
28. Eye colour?
A greeny blue. They look different in all kinds of light.
29. Do you wear contacts?
Yes, and they’ve changed my world. I used to wear glasses before but was really stubborn about having them on unless it was completely necessary. So prior to now I lived about 23 years of my life blind. Fun times.
30. Favourite food?
What kind of question is this?! It’s a tough one but if I really had to narrow it down I’d maybe say spaghetti bolognese.
31. Scary movies or happy endings?
As much as I love scary films I’d have to say happy endings. I know it’s not always realistic but movies are quite often about escapism, so…
32. Last movie you watched?
13 Going On 30. I’ve been getting through quite a lot of films lately that I’ve had on my ‘watch’ list for years.
33. What colour shirt are you wearing?
It’s like a cream sort of colour mostly, but has aspects of grey and blue in too.
34. Summer or winter?
I’d say winter. I’m not the biggest fan of sunshine and I hate the feeling of being hot. Plus, around winter time you have Halloween, Guy Fawkes night, AND Christmas to look forward to.
35. Hugs or kisses?
36. Favourite dessert?
Some kind of chocolate brownie with ice cream or cookie dough.
37. Strength training or cardio?
38. Computer or television?
Television. I love getting invested in a good series.
39. What book are you reading right now?
I’m not reading anything right now but I’ve got Three Women by Lisa Taddeo on my Kindle so I might try and start that this weekend.
40. What is on your mouse pad?
41. Any tattoos?
42. Favourite sound?
Either Abel Tesfaye’s singing voice or rain against my windows.
43. Rolling Stones or Beatles?
If I had to pick… The Beatles.
44. What is the farthest you’ve been from home?
45. Do you have a special talent?
I can roll my R’s but I don’t think that’s a special talent. No, I guess I don’t…
46. Where were you born?
Glasgow, Scotland. Rough as a badger’s arse.
47. Where are you living now?
48. What colour is your house?
Sort of a pale sand brick colour?
49. What colour is your car?
50. Any pets?
Not anymore unfortunately. I’d love a dog one day though.
