A nice surprise today was that the sun came out, which is rarity and also very unpredictable if you’re from the North East. What better to do than go for some delicius food and cocktails? To be honest, I don’t need the sun as an excuse to do that. I could do it every weekend quite easily.
Adam and I went for a meal at one of my all-time favourite restuarants in Durham – The Cosy Club. The food here is always incredible and I just absolutely love the vintage-style decor, plus the staff are constantly super smiley and lovely. Highly recommend.
Following our amazing meal, we took a walk through the markets of Durham and then wandered down to one of the best bars in the city – Whisky River. To feed my margarita obsession we paused for one or two (or three) drinks in here. If you like properly made-from-scratch cocktails with a relaxed ambience, then you’ll love this place.
After we’d eaten and drank to our heart’s content, I then roped Adam into taking some photos of my outfit next to some oldy-worldy phone boxes. Just because I thought it looked kinda blog-ish?
So, my long check duster is from Boohoo (LOVE), then my sinched pink silk top underneath I purchased from New Look. I’m wearing some lightwash blue jeans from H&M and some nude heels from every girl’s best friend… good ol’ Primarni! Lastly, my yellow and white shoulder bag is from a website called Luvres. It’s just the perfect size and adds a pop of colour to any outfit.
It’s nice to get at least a little bit dressed up these days, even though very few occasions give us the opportunity to. I felt nice today… it definitely beats wearing joggers and a T-shirt most days.
